As Jesus is brought before the first mock Jewish trials, we see the distinction of locations and decisions between John and Peter, and where they chose to be in the midst of the pre-dawn trials. Peter chooses to warm his hands by the fire of the wicked on that cold night, and ends up sitting down which that peer pressure no doubt contributed to him denying the Lord three times and going out to weep bitter tears.
