Message from Pastor David Wise
Welcome, and we are very thankful to have you visit our church website. We hope the content is profitable and encouraging for you, and hope you will, in turn, visit us at Clear Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Clear Springs is committed to the biblical pattern of New Testament doctrine and worship, preaching salvation by God’s sovereign grace alone and worshipping in the simple manner we see exhibited in the New Testament scriptures. Our church strives to uphold each other in our pursuit to bring forth fruit and good works here in this world to the glory of God (John 15:8, Eph. 2:10). I hope to instruct the people of God how to live in a holy manner (1 Pet. 1:16), how to present our bodies a living sacrifice unto God here in this world (Rom. 12:1), and how to walk worthy of the vocation wherewith we have been called (Eph. 4:1). We are commanded to teach and to make disciples (Matt. 28:18-20), and I hope we can do that acceptably by a commitment to preach the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27) to the church at Clear Springs. At Clear Springs, we trust you will find a devout, loving body of believers who strive to “grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). We hope you will come worship with us at Clear Springs and grow in Christ with us!
About Our Pastor
Elder David Wise was ordained to the full work of the gospel ministry on May 16, 2015, by Bethany Primitive Baptist Church in Ecru, Mississippi. He was the pastor of Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church in Ackerman, MS from 2015 to 2025, until Macedonia Church merged with Clear Springs Church in March 2025. David has been the pastor of Clear Springs since 2025.
In his profession, David is a Certified Public Accountant and works as an Assurance Manager with Horne. David and his wife, Bethany, have one child, Zachary. David and his family live in Starkville, Mississippi.
David has authored books on Primitive Baptist doctrine entitled What Is A Primitive Baptist?, What Is The Church?, and This We Believe.
