We now arrive at the climax of all our eternal redemption, Jesus Christ on the cross. We see the regeneration and conversion of the thief on the cross, showing God’s sovereignty in immediate Holy Spirit regeneration. Jesus declared it is finished, so what was finished? We see he finished saving his people from their sins, making those given to him righteous, purging their sins, obtaining eternal redemption, and perfecting forever those that are sanctified. Praise God for a Successful Savior!
