In natural creation, we see God’s sovereignty manifested which also shows us of God’s sovereignty in spiritual creation. God did not request the darkness’s permission or consent to impose light upon it. God simply said, let there be light and there was light. The same is true in regeneration: God says let there be light in your soul, and there is light. Then, the gospel gives us further light and illumination into the salvation we already have in Christ.
