We consider the distinction between the movement of the Spirit affecting our actions – that all born again children of God have – and then the Spirit directing us into specific actions of discipleship. It takes great wisdom to learn to discern the direction of the Holy Spirit, instead of being controlled with a undiscerning fervor of being affected by the Spirit, but without wisdom.
